Celebrating 135 years of Kverneland

To celebrate the 135 years of Ole Gabriel Kverneland’s entrepreneurship, Kverneland senior metallurgist and Helle*, have made a replica of Ole Gabriels red handle collection as a limited edition of 135 knives.

The quality of this knife sums up Ole Gabriel’s values: to combine quality materials, design & know-how for the end users’ quest for high performance and efficiency.

This new knife is made of three layered laminated steels as Norwegian knives should be. In the spirit of the present time, the blade is made from stainless steel. Each knife has a blade numbered from 001/135 to 135/135

For the knife handle, a fine hardwood tree called “birch” has been selected and painted red, still respecting the grain of the wood.

Presented in a high end leather sheath and a jute bag, both stamped with the original Kverneland logo from the Red Collection.

Ole Gabriel Kverneland comes from a long line of blacksmiths and farmers. Instead of taking over the farm, he chooses to start a blacksmith shop in 1879, aged 25. He immediately gets a reputation for the steel quality of his scythes and knives. Ole Gabriel is hence able to further develop his activities in farming equipments among which incomparable balanced and durable ploughs.
